At Thetravelowls, we help users search for and book flights to various destinations worldwide. This page lists the detailed terms and conditions for the users (travellers, patrons).
Acceptance of terms
Agreement to use: The terms and conditions on this page govern the use of and your access to our website or mobile application. By accessing our service, you agree to the terms and conditions and privacy policy set forth by the website. If you do not agree with our terms and conditions, please do not use the website.
Who can use our site?
Our services are offered only to individuals who are 18 years of age or older. If an
individual possesses the legal authority in their country as an adult, they are allowed to
use our website.
If you use our site, you agree that you are legally permitted to do so.
What about changes of terms?
We reserve the right to update or modify these terms and conditions without prior notice. If you continue to use the website after such an update, it will be considered that you accept the new and revised terms.
What is our role in your flight booking process?
We act as an intermediary and don't own any flights. We help the travellers by comparing prices and availability of flight tickets. We also assist with booking tickets and processing.
Details on pricing and availability
The availability and prices of the tickets are not determined by Thetravelowls, but by the airline carrier. We are a platform that helps you access all flights to and from your destinations in one place. That being said, we always strive for absolute accuracy, but the aviation industry is dynamic and ever-changing.
Booking and payment terms
When you complete a booking on Thetravelowls and select a payment method, you authorise us to process your payment accordingly. Also, you authorise us to transmit the details of your booking to the relevant supplier(s) to finalise the said booking.
However, there are certain responsibilities in this process which lie with the user and not with Thetravelowls.
The user should provide accurate information. It includes the traveller's name, passport details, date, and time of flight. Thetravelowls doesn’t take any responsibility if a flight is cancelled due to any incorrect information provided by the user. Ensure that the data you provide is 100% accurate and error-free. In addition, the user is liable for any mandatory fees incurred for correcting any errors.
Tickets booked under the name of a specific traveller cannot be transferred to another name. All the flight tickets booked via Thetravelowls are non-transferable, unless the airline has a specific policy regarding it.
What is the payment process?
We use industry-standard payment gateways. Although you can complete the payment process on Thetravelowls’s website, in some cases, the supplier (Airline) may collect the payment directly. In such cases, you will be redirected to the supplier's website to complete your payment.
What about credit card disputes?
If you dispute a valid charge made by Thetravelowls or its Suppliers through your credit card company, we may seek to recover the original payment, any costs related to the chargeback, and reasonable administrative fees.
Rules regarding cancellations, changes, and refunds
What is the process of cancellation?
The tickets sold are subject to specific rules and terms and conditions established by the airline. The supplier is responsible for determining if a ticket is refundable, non-changeable, or exchangeable. Thetravelowls doesn’t play any part in this process. In the event of cancellation, the airline may impose additional charges.
What are the refund rules?
The refund rules change from one airline to another. The refund amount, whether full or partial, will be processed by Thetravelowls only after we receive the said sum from the airline.
When will the refund be processed?
The refund time is set by the airline and not Thetravelowls. It may take 7-8 working days or up to 12 weeks, depending on the airline and whether the destination is domestic or international.
Where will you get the refund?
The refund will be credited to the original payment method that you (i.e the user) had used at the time of booking the ticket.
User conduct and responsibilities
Travel documents: It is solely the traveller's responsibility to procure and process all necessary documents for travel, including visas, valid passports, and health certificates. It also includes travel papers required by entry or exit from any country. The user should also take care of the documents required by the customer at their destination. If a user is denied boarding due to the failure of such papers or documents, Thetravelowls is not responsible for the costs incurred and any other issues caused by that circumstance.
Prohibited conduct: The user agrees not to use Thetravelowls for any unlawful or prohibited activities. This includes:
- • Not making false reservations.
- • Not using automated agents to access Thetravelowls’s services.
- • Not attempting to interfere with the proper functioning of the website.
- • Not publishing any content that is illegal, obscene, threatening, or defamatory.
Intellectual property
The content used on Thetravelowls’s website, including text, logo, graphics, code, etc, is intellectual property of the site and is protected by the law. Any attempt to use the content without explicit permission from Thetravelowls is illegal and may result in legal action.
Limitation of liability
Thetravelowls is not responsible for any form of flight delays, cancellations, schedule changes, or losses incurred by the user due to such events. The liability lies solely with the airline.
